How to Submit a Revision in Close Up
- Open your image in Close Up.
- Use the Quality Panel in the bottom-right corner to add your markups and comments.
- Select the appropriate classification before submitting:
Classification | When to Use It |
---|---|
Rejection | Something in the image doesn’t meet the agreed standards or expectations |
Request | You’d like to explore a new creative direction beyond the original brief |
Both | A combination of the above |
ℹ️ This classification applies to all markups in the comment — you won’t need to label individual notes or areas separately.
Once the revision is submitted, you’ll see the indication of whether it’s been sent as a Rejection, Request or both.
What Happens After You Submit
Our team reviews your comment and the classification you selected.
- If a Rejection actually reflects a new visual idea not included in the original brief, it may be reclassified as a Change Request.
- If a Change Request turns out to be correcting something that didn’t follow your original specifications, it may be reclassified as a Rejection.
We base these decisions on the specifications defined for your project.
Invoiceable vs. Non-Invoiceable Requests
Some Change Requests are minor — in those cases, we’ll treat them as non-invoiceable and complete them as part of our commitment to offering a smooth and collaborative experience. If the request represents a more substantial change, it will be treated as invoiceable and will trigger an Extra Round.
Type | Description | Invoiced? | Triggers Extra Round? |
---|---|---|---|
Non-Invoiceable | Minor edits or polish | ❌ No | ❌ No |
Invoiceable | A substantial change or creative shift | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes |
Your contract includes a defined number of Extra Rounds. When a Change Request is considered significant enough to be treated as a new round of work, it will be added to your count of Extra Rounds and may be invoiced depending on your agreement.
Understanding First Time Approval Rate (FTAR)
We now track approval performance separately for initial deliveries and Extra Rounds:
- First Time Approval Rate – the percentage of images approved upon first delivery, before any Extra Round.
Your Customer Success Manager can provide more details on how these apply to your projects.
Glossary
- Revision – Feedback and markups on a delivered image.
- Rejection (Pixelz Error) – An error relative to the original brief.
- Change Request – A new direction or adjustment beyond the original brief.
- Extra Round – A new post-production cycle caused by an invoiceable Change Request.
- FTAR – First Time Approval Rate
