AI Flat Lay

Overview

Don't worry if your input photos aren't studio-perfect. AI Flat Lay takes your basic product shots - taken on a hanger, mannequin, or flat surface - and polishes them into professional flat lay imagery. We remove unwanted elements (hangers, clips, props) and fix framing, wrinkles, and garment shape while preserving the exact print, color, and fabric texture of your item.

All AI setups are predefined and done for you - simply select your coverage, configure your basic output rules, and save.

How to create the specification

From the Specifications tab, click Create New, then Predefined Specifications, then Continue.
Open the AI Studio tab and click AI Flat Lay.
Fill in the three steps of the modal, then confirm Create Specification.

Step 1: Shot settings

On the left you set the coverage and the Product ID. On the right you see a Before and After example.

Coverage

You can choose front view only or both front and back. Click a card to see What we expect and What you'll get for that image.

Product ID

The Product ID links images of the same product together via their file names.

Setting this up is required for this spec because one input image can generate multiple outputs - the system relies on the Product ID to name each output file properly while keeping editing consistent across the product.

You build the pattern with the selector, and the Preview box below shows the result. For example, with Before 1st _ or -, the file ABC1234_BLK_front_v2.jpg gives the Product ID ABC1234.

Step 2: Output settings

Here you choose how your images are delivered.

Step 3: Overview and confirmation

The last step shows a summary of everything you picked.

Click Create Specification to save. You can start an order immediately with Create Order or access it later under Go to Specifications to reuse anytime.

Tips for good results

One garment per photo, and keep it fully in the frame.
Iron or smooth the garment before shooting. Heavy wrinkles show in the result.
Shoot straight to the camera, not at an angle.
Use the front photo as your color reference, so shoot it in good, even light.
If you choose Front and back, make sure to upload two separate input photos (front and back) of the same item from the same shoot.

FAQs

Question	Answer
What kind of photo can I send?	Any product photo where the garment is the main focus. It can be on a hanger, on a plain surface, or shot flat.
Are hangers and props removed?	Yes. Hangers, clips and props are removed, and the garment is placed on a plain white background.
Will the color change?	No. We keep the real color, shape, and texture of the garment. The front photo is used as the color reference, so it should show the true color.
Why does Front and back option cost more?	It creates a second output image, so an extra amount is added to the price. You can see the extra next to the option and the final price in Step 3.
What happens if I do not set up the Product ID correctly?	Your front and back images may not be grouped as one product. Check the Preview box in Step 1 before you save.
Can I use a specification more than once?	Yes. Once saved, you can use the specification for as many orders as you like.
