Packshot to Model

Overview

Packshot to Model is an AI Generation feature in the Pixelz Platform that turns your existing product packshots into on-model images - photos of your product being worn by an AI-generated model - without a physical photoshoot.

Packshot to Model is available to Professional and Enterprise plans. It is not currently available on the Solo plan.

Creating a Specification

To access this screen, please follow the steps below:

• Login to your Pixelz account
• Select "Specifications" from the menu on the left
• Click the “+” button -> Custom Specification -> Custom Specifications

1. General

Set up the basic details for this specification before configuring shoot, models, and output. Here you set the specification's name, description, and tags — the same as on any other specification on the platform — and set up your Product ID: the rule Pixelz uses to work out which uploaded photos belong to the same product, based on their file names.

• If your account already has a Product ID rule set up (for example, configured previously with your account manager or our support team), it's pre-selected here, and you can still change it.
• Otherwise, you choose a rule from a short list of filename patterns. The rule tells us which part of the file name identifies the product, so photos like a front and back shot of the same item get grouped together automatically.

Product ID: Defines which part of the filename is used as the Product ID for Smart Mapping.

      2. Shots

A shot is a single framing-and-pose combination, and each shot produces one output image per product. You can add between 1 and 30 shots to a specification, and repeat the same shot type as many times as you like.

Each shot type (other than Detail) also comes with posing options - for example, a relaxed stance versus a walking pose - which are pre-selected for you but can be adjusted. You can add, remove, and reorder shots at any time while editing your specification.

    3. Background & Lighting

Choose one background from the available predefined options, and one lighting style: Studio Flat, Studio Directional, Studio High Contrast, or Natural. Both apply to every shot in the specification - you can't mix different backgrounds or lighting styles within the same spec.

   4. Models

Choose a gender - male or female - for the models in this specification; a specification can't mix both. Then select one or more models from Pixelz's model catalogue. These are AI-generated (synthetic) models provided by Pixelz, not based on real people.

• If you select 1 model, it's used for every image generated from this specification.
• If you select more than 1, we rotate through your selected models in sequence across the products in your order, so your results feature a variety of looks.

   5. Wardrobe

If your product needs to be styled alongside other garments or accessories, you can add wardrobe images to your specification. Wardrobe images live in a shared library across your whole account — anything you upload becomes available to any specification, and for each specification, you choose which of those garments to use.

You can upload wardrobe images here, while creating or editing the specification, or later, while placing an order - either way, they're added to your wardrobe library and made available to this specification. Uploading wardrobe images from within an order doesn't create a separate, order-specific wardrobe; it's simply another way of adding to the same shared library.

Because the library is shared, adding or removing a garment applies across all of your specifications, not just the one you're editing. You can add, remove, or reassign wardrobe images at any time, as long as no order using that specification is currently in production.

   6. Retouch

All the retouching options are intented to be applied to the AI Output that comes out from the AI Studio.

   7. Output

Set your preferred file format, resolution, and colour space for the delivered images, and add additional output versions if you need them. Each additional output, plus any retouching options you apply, adds to the specification's price.

• Select "Order" from the menu on the left
• Click the “+” button -> Packshot to Model
• Uploading your product photos
• Choose how to group your products
• Place your order

Pricing

Packshot to Model is priced per final delivered image. The price for a given specification depends on how you configure it - specifically, the number of shots per product, the number of outputs, and any retouching options you apply.
 

Turnaround times

Packshot to Model images are typically delivered within 48 hours of placing your order.

Rejection

You can reject a Packshot to Model image the same way you'd reject any other asset on the Pixelz Platform. Once rejected, it goes back into our standard production flow for correction or regeneration.
