Start your order process on the right foot with the Markup extension, a powerful tool designed to streamline communication and enhance clarity for customers with specialized requests. This feature enables customers to provide detailed feedback, ensuring their unique requirements are clearly conveyed before an order is submitted for production.

Description

The Markup extension allows customers to add comments and call-outs directly to individual images. It’s perfect for situations where specific exceptions to product specifications are needed while still falling within the scope of the Professional plan. This tool ensures customers can efficiently communicate their needs, leading to a smoother production process and higher satisfaction.

Key features

     1. The feature enables users to apply color-coded markup and comments directly on an image, using colored pencils and matching comment boxes for clear, organized feedback during the pre-production phase. We offer Predefined Comments based on color markups to enhance the Quality Control process. Each markup color corresponds to a specific predefined comment, reducing the need to type out individual notes.

Color Meanings for Predefined Comments

Red -  Remove: Indicate elements or areas that should be removed.
Orange - Smooth: Highlight areas that need smoothing or blurring.
Yellow - Clean: Mark regions requiring basic cleanup or touch-ups.
Green - Straighten: Identify elements that should be straightened or aligned.
Blue - Reduce: Suggest reducing creases, imperfections, or other attributes.
Purple - Shape: Emphasize shaping adjustments or contours.
Black - Restore: Mark areas that need restoration to the original input.

Don't worry if what you need isn’t on our predefined list. You can still choose a color and leave your own general retouching instructions or feedback.

For Professional users, you’ll have 1 additional color and Enterprise users have 3 additional colors and a general text box to leave comments. 

     2. This feature provides the same advanced color-coded markup and comment capabilities, allowing users to annotate and give feedback on an image when rejecting it during the pre-production stage.

Accessing the Markup Tool

For the Professional plan: Go to the Extension Store in the left-hand menu to add the Markup extension. After subscribing and completing the payment, the extension will be automatically activated. You can add Markup to your monthly plan for an additional $45 per month or reduce the cost to $29 per month with an annual commitment.

Using the Markup Tool

Step-by-step Guide

1. Once you've uploaded the images for your order, you can simply click on an image, then hit Spacebar, and the AIV (Advanced Image Viewer) will appear.
2. Then click the "Comment" button on the Quality section on the right of the screen, and the markup tools will appear.
3. Choose a pre-defined color from the upper left corner and start marking the image.
4. There's also a box for General comments where you can add a comment that applies to the whole image.
5. After adding your markups and comments, just click "Save".

Here is a detailed breakdown of the five tools available in the Markup extension.

Note: Please just make sure that the specification you use on your images has a suitable setting to fulfill the request you add through Markup.

For example, if you would like us to reduce the creases on some parts of your products, the specification you use on the image needs to have a suitable retouch package that has creases reduction.

Unsubscribing the Markup Tool

For the Professional plan: To unsubscribe from the Markup extension, go to the Extension Store in the left-hand menu and turn auto-renew to OFF. The extension will continue to be available until the end of the pre-paid billing period when it will be removed from the account.

For the Enterprise plan: To unsubscribe from the Markup extension, please contact your CSM or our CS team at enterprise@pixelz.com.
