Introduction
The Markup tool allows you to add comments and visual call-outs directly to individual images. It is the perfect tool for communicating specialized feedback, unique requirements, or specific exceptions - provided they fall within the technical scope of your active template settings.
For example, if you plan to request crease reduction via a markup, your selected specification must include a package that supports crease reduction.

Main Use Cases
1. Pre-Production Instructions (Before Production)
Apply color-coded markups and comments right after uploading your images to communicate specialized, template-eligible instruction before production begins.
2. Rejection Feedback (After Production)
Use the exact same tool to easily point out and explain required changes when rejecting an image.
Step-by-step Guide
Click on an image in your order and press the Spacebar to open the Advanced Image Viewer (AIV).
Click the Comment button in the Quality section on the right
Select a tool and a predefined color from the toolbar, then start annotating the image.
(Optional) Add overall notes in the General Comments box.
Click Save to apply your markups.
Notes
- Markups communicate your intent to the production team but depend on the image specification being set up to fulfill the request.
- Color Match and Color Change are handled separately in Close Up and are not part of Markups.Β
