What is a specification?
Specifications are at the heart of everything we do at Pixelz.
A specification is a set of instructions for what should be done to your images. Each specification contains settings which define the specific steps the images go through, the kind of editors they get assigned to, and which editing tasks are completed.
We use settings rather than subjective descriptions of editing tasks because this allows us to ensure quality, consistency, speed and accuracy.
Every time you submit images for processing, they must be assigned to a specification. Each specification has a price. This is the price you will pay for each individual image submitted on the specification.
Your images must be submitted on a specification that contains settings which align with your needs and expectations. If you can't find settings that meet your needs, please reach out to your Market Response Rep or to our Customer Success department via firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com before uploading your order.
What settings are available?
There are a huge number of settings available to you for fine-tuning your specifications to ensure your finished images meet your requirements. We divide settings into 2 main categories:
1. Standard settings
Standard settings are those which are included in the base price. You can choose as many of these settings as you like without the specification price increasing. These are:
- Background removal
- Alignment & straightening
- File format
- Color profile
- File size
2. Optional Add-ons
You can further customise your specifications with our range of add-ons.
Add-ons incur an additional cost which is added to the base price. These are:
- Invisible Mannequin
- Clipping path
- Shadow (Drop, Reflection or Keep Original)
- Retouch packages (Professional only)
