How to use Manual Specifications
Overview: The Manual Specifications feature allows you to define specific retouching details for your images. Instead of using predefined templates, you can build editing instructions directly in the platform. The interface provides a step-by-step process and a real-time price summary, allowing you to configure settings per product type and per image.
Navigating the Manual Specs Builder
The specification builder is divided into three tabs:
1. Technical This section handles file and formatting requirements via 3 tabs:
-
General: Name your specification and add descriptions and tags.
-
Output: Configure the main file format (JPG, PNG, TIFF, PSD), dimensions, margins, alignment, renaming conventions, and background types (e.g., Transparent, White, Keep Original). You can also add secondary outputs to deliver the same image in multiple formats.
-
Metadata: Choose to keep the original metadata, retain copyright info, or remove metadata entirely.
2. Retouch Here, you select the retouching instructions for your images. You can select a single category or combine multiple categories (e.g., retouching both the Model and the Garment in the same image).
3. Add-ons Apply additional features to your images:
- Shadows: Add drop shadows or reflection shadows, or choose to keep the original shadow.
- Invisible Mannequin: Upload up to 5 images to combine them and remove the mannequin.
- Clipping Path: Create a path to isolate your product for further editing.
- Color Match: Provide a reference image to align product colors
Real-Time Previews and Pricing
- Specification Preview: A visual guide that updates to show how technical settings (like background colors or margins) apply to an example image.
- Specification Summary: As you select settings, a summary panel calculates and displays the Total Price per Media.
