Types of input that Pixelz support

Regular Formats

We accept most image formats, though we ideally require a single-layer structure. The accepted formats vary depending on your chosen upload method:

• Direct Website Upload: Supports JPG, PSD, PNG, and TIFF.

• FTP Upload: Recommended for all file formats (see our FTP Guide article for instructions).

RAW Formats

Pixelz currently does not support RAW image formats as a standard. Please contact our support team if you want to upload any RAW format.

Due to the large file size of raw images, these should be submitted to Pixelz via FTP.

Why Were Some Of My Images Rejected?

Your photo can be a flat lay, pin-up, on-model, mannequin, include props or not, but common for all types of photography is that the more isolated your product is and the higher the quality of your photo, the better fit it is for Pixelz and the better a result we can deliver. Your photo needs to be in high resolution and in focus.

There are specific types of images that technically cannot be processed in our Production and as such, they will be rejected by Pixelz.

In these cases, we will make sure to notify you in a timely manner.

One of the below reasons will be mentioned in the email you will receive from Pixelz.

Reasons for Rejection	Explanation	Example
Corrupted Images	Part of the image is missing or cannot be opened in Photoshop.
Too small images	The image dimensions are smaller than the required output.
Low-quality images	Low-quality, blurry, or out-of-focus images that cannot be processed.
Object covering parts of the product	An object is covering big parts of the product that cannot be recreated.
Part of the image set is missing.	Parts of the image set are missing (e.g., an insert or main image for invisible mannequin images).
Incorrect File Type	The image(s) uploaded are using a file type that we cannot process.

Out of product scope	Personal photos, selfies, pets, company logos, banknotes, or abstract art images.
High Complexity	Images with high complexity that result in extremely high editing times. (to maintain the image price at reasonable agreed-upon levels and offer consistent quality)
Product is unclear	Images where it is very hard to distinguish between the main product, background, and props.
Unprofessional setup, images shot on a complex background	Images shot on a complex background or in an unprofessional setup with too many props or objects in the background.
Multiple items in the same image	Images that include multiple product items. As a rule of thumb, at Pixelz, we accept to edit one item per image. There are few exceptions, where it is literally impossible to separate the combined items or not appropriate for styling purposes.
Multiple customer rejections with no satisfactory output	Complex images that Pixelz has tried to process multiple times but the output is still far away from the expected one. To avoid further rejections and dissatisfaction, Pixelz will reject and return those to you.
Images with multiple layers	Our system is optimized to support single-layer inputs. Submitting multiple layers might cause production issues because our system will randomly select a layer to work on.

If your images are rejected by our production team, your account will be credited for the number of images that could not be processed. You can then re-upload them with qualified inputs without being charged.
