Tết Holiday in Vietnam

The Vietnamese Lunar New Year is a huge part of Pixelz's history and tradition. It is something we are very proud to be part of each year. 

The Vietnamese Lunar New Year, known locally as Tết, is the celebration of the arrival of spring following the Vietnamese Lunar calendar. It is the most important holiday of the year for the people of Vietnam. During Tết, people often go home to their families and spend the week reflecting on the past year and looking forward to what the new year holds.

On the first day of Tết, people will spend time with their immediate families, and on the subsequent days, they will visit their friends, relatives, and teachers who hold an important standing in Vietnamese culture. In any celebration like this, food plays a critical part. People cook many different types of special dishes like Bánh Chưng (a traditional dish made from rice, green bean, and pork, covered in banana leaves, and represents the Earth) and Bánh Dầy (made from sticky rice, Vietnamese pork sausage, and represents the Sky).

Each Lunar New Year has an animal associated with it. 2024 is the year of the Dragon. The Dragon holds a significant place as an auspicious and extraordinary creature, unparalleled in talent and excellence. It symbolizes power, nobility, honor, luck, and success. At Pixelz, we strive to live up to these expectations in 2024.

Delivery Plan during Tết

This year, Tết falls on February 10th. This means most of our colleagues in Vietnam will be away celebrating with their families and friends during the weekend. To accommodate this local tradition, we have decided to close down production in Vietnam on February 10th and gradually return to full capacity from February 12th. That means that we have done our best to minimize the effect of this local holiday on your turnaround times. 

Also, the Expedite and FLOW services will not be available from  Feb 9th at 08:00 (UTC) to Feb 12th at 08:00 (UTC). Thank you for your understanding and support during this holiday!
